परीक्षा एक कसौटी है, हमें उसपर खड़ा उतरना चाहिए।
हमे हमेशा सकरात्मक सोच रखनी चाहिए।
हमें पढ़ाई से भागना नहीं चाहिए। पढ़ाई चाहे २ घण्टे करो या ४ घण्टे करो, यदि आप पढ़ाई मन से नहीं करते तो पढ़ाई व्यर्थ है.
हमें परीक्षा का महत्व समझाना चाहिए।
हमारे मन में परीक्षा का डर नहीं होना चाहिए।
हमें परीक्षा की तयारी बोझ समझ के नहीं करनी चाहिए बल्कि इसे उत्साहपूर्वक व् पूरी लगन के साथ करनी चाहिए।
परीक्षा में काम अंक प्राप्त होने पर दुखी नहीं होना चाहिए। हमें अच्छे अंक प्राप्त करने के लिए खूब मेहनत करते रहना
चाहिए।
हमें परीक्षा में कम अंक लाने पर दुखी नहीं होनी चाहिए, बल्कि उससे प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए। हमें किसी विषय से दूर नहीं भागना चाहिए। हमें अपने कमजोर विषय को मजबूत विषय बनाना चाहिए।
हमें ज्ञान प्राप्ति के लिए पढ़ना चाहिए, न कि अंक प्राप्ति के लिए क्योंकि अगर हमें सही ज्ञान की प्राप्ति होती है तो अंक अपने आप आएगा।
पूरी लगन व् अपनी क्षमता से परीक्षा की तैयारी करनी चाहिए। अंक अपने आप आएंगे।
हमें प्रश्न को ध्यान से पढ़कर व् सोच समझकर उत्तर देना चाहिए।
परीक्षा देते समय हमें अपना आत्म विश्वास व् आत्म अनुशासन बनाये रखनी चाहिए।
यह जीवन बहुत मुश्किल से पाए है हमें अपने जीवन में हमेशा अच्छा सोचना चाहिए व् कुछ अच्छा करने की चाहत रखनी चाहिए।

Aim of Life Wonderful and Amazing Ideas from School Students’ Mann Ki Baat
What do school students think about “Aim”? Is it important to have aim in our life? What is right ways to achieve our aim? We discussed with students from 5^{th} class to 12^{th} about “Importance, benefits and ways to achieve goal in our life” in an “open interactive session. 21^{st} century students have wonderful and amazing ideas on “any of topic”; only educator needs to awake their senses. Here, it will be really worth enough to discuss 9 final crucial points shared by the students on above mentioned question i.e. what do they understand with the word “aim”. Wise teachers will try to maintain students’ positive vibes for their lifelong growth.
लक्ष्य !
लक्ष्य हमेशा बडा चाहिए।
लक्ष्य ऐसा होना चाहिए जो पहुँच में हो पकड़ में नहीं हो
हमें खुद पर विस्वास होना चाहिए।
हमें अपने लक्ष्य पर अटल होना चाहिए। हमें परीक्षा से भयभीत नहीं होना चाहिए।
हमें अपने जीवन में एक लक्ष्य बनाना चाहिए।
हमें अपने लक्ष्य को बोझ नहीं समझना चाहिए।
हमें अपने बनाये लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति के लिए खूब मेहनत करनी चाहिए।
हमें अपने लक्ष्य प्राप्ति के लिए एकाग्रता लानी चाहिए।
लक्ष्य प्राप्ति के लिए खुद से लड़ना चाहिए न कि दूसरों से।
The goal should always be big.
Goal should be in the reach that is not in the hand.
We must believe in ourselves.
We must be firm on our goals. We should not be afraid of the exam.
We should make a goal in our life.
We should not consider our goal to be a burden.
We must work hard to achieve our goal.
We must bring concentration to achieve our goals.
To achieve the goal, we should fight with ourselves and with not others.
कसौटी कसती है, कसौटी कोसने के लिए नहीं होती है. जीवन में हर पल कसौटी का होना बहुत जरुरी है,कसौटी बुरी नहीं होती, हम उसके साथ किस प्रकार के साथ deal करते है उसपर depend करता है। हमें जी- जान से मेहनत करते रहना चाहिए व् अपने आपको को अपने कसौटी पे तौलते रहना चाहिए. जिंदगी का मतलब ही होता है गति। जिन्दगी का मतलब ही होता है सपने।
Low confidence in Math subject during the exam is common phenomena with board aspirant students. Students often commit silly mistakes in the final exam. Mathematics demands consistent practice and comprehensive conceptual knowledge to score good marks in the board examination. Peer assessment helps one another student to identify his own mistakes on the answer sheet which happened intentional or un-intentionally.
Generally board aspirant solve “Math’s Sample Paper” before the final board examination to have a command on Mathematics. In fact it helps students to develop habit of solving actual question paper comfortably and students get answers of exam related following queries like (a) how to solve paper in within three hours (b) what are the common mistake occur during the examination (c) how to solve difficult question (d) which section should be start 1^{st} in the examination (e) what should student do when s/he feels inability to solve a particular problem (f) what are other common mistakes which a student commits in the examination in Math (g) how to do time management (h) what are common ideas to overcome difficulties and score good marks in Math.
For finding the root cause of these above mentioned problems, we initiated sample paper practice programme in an artificially created exam center. We were stick with time only. There was no invigilator in the classroom to help students. Students have to solve paper in 3 hours. We asked our students to do peer assessment of solved sample paper for 45 minutes and instructed mathematics teacher for evaluating their students’ answer sheet. We asked each student to discuss his/her problems while s/he was solving Math’s’ sample paper.
We find some common problems with each and every student which we listed here. These are as following

Generally 20-30%, Mathematics questions are tricky and also require elaborate steps during solving these questions. In fact students commit many mistakes due to their wrong attitude towards the subject. Either we consider Math paper too easy or we create havoc on ourselves for its complexity. It is observed during peer assessment that students become excited when they find math’ question paper is easy which finally leads to silly mistakes like missing steps, simple calculation errors etc, or they become unnecessarily nervousness and fearful. Mathematician feels that students commits mistakes in mathematics due to lack of Practice, lack of concentration, exam fear and pressure, mental tiredness, limited time and an effort to solve questions quickly.

What do school students think about “Self-Confidence?”
We conducted an “open interactive session with school students. Students from 5^{th} class to 12^{th} participated in this session. We asked several questions like
How does self confidence affect success? Why is self confidence important to success? Why is self confidence important for students? What are the benefits of being confident? Why students should be self confident?
They shared lots of amazing ideas. We would like to lists some of the ideas shared by students.
आत्म विस्वास व् कठिन मेहनत से लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति होती है।
हमें अपने विचारों से भ्रमित नहीं होना चाहिए और अपने विचारों में स्पष्टता रखनी चाहिए।
हमें अपनी तुलना किसी से नहीं करनी चाहिए क्योंकि सबके अपने अलग-अलग विचार होता है, कोई भी एक जैसा नहीं होता है.
हम सब के अंदर कोई ना कोई क्षमता/खासियत होती है, उसे सही समय पर परखना व् प्रदर्शित करते रहना चाहिए।
हमें दूसरों के साथ नहीं स्वयं के साथ प्रतिस्पर्धा करनी चाहिए।

Self-realization and hard work helps to attain the goal.
We should not be confused with our thoughts and should have clarity in our thoughts.
We should not compare ourselves with anyone, because everyone has his own ideas, nobody is the same.
All of us have some capacity / specialty, we should continue testing and demonstrating them at the right time.
We must compete with ourselves, not with others.
We must trust ourselves and have faith in our capability.
We should have discipline in our life.
We should understand the question before giving answer.
We should choose the subject; we are interested in.
We should work according to our capacity and goal.
We should trust our teacher.
We should respect others’ views/opinion.
We should not imitate others.

Time-Management

Time Management Skill-What do students think-Benefits of Time Management
Every one of us repeatedly says, “Time is money, Be on time, Never become late, do not delay your work, complete your work on time”, but how many of us really respect the values of time” that is a question. Have we ever checked our children whether they understand the values of time or they are non- serious actors, know the importance of time in their life? Children are very active. They know the importance of time in their life. They have interesting experience of day to day life.
We asked our students to talk about “the importance of time” and “how to use time rationally to give the best result” in our life. We asked a number of questions to the students’ age group 6 to 14 for evaluating their “time management” skill. The interesting fact about this surveyed that they might (a) Not submitted home work on time (b) Not completed class work on time and (c) Have reached at bus stop a little late but of course, they know the values of time in their life. 7^{th} class student Deepika Yadav stated that time is a great resource, if we use it wisely; we can achieve our desired goal. Most surprisingly a 6^{th} class girl child Shreya said in her own language, “The Time is very precious for us if the time has gone then we cannot bring the time back. (Shreya 2) Neha Singh stated same key point i.e. we cannot get the time back which we have lost no matter even if I lost a second in our life.
2-3 students amazingly illustrated “time- management skill” i.e. If we will manage our time, it will make us rich and good person and if we will not manage our time than the time will make us poor person. (Nilabh). Talha realizes that you will not realize importance of time till you became 16 years old. Then we realize what a beautiful and interesting childhood I had. A person thinks that “he has a lot of time” at different phases of life i.e. childhood, as a high school student, as an adult and as a mature person but we regret all those moments of life which we could not use it properly. Kshitij connected failure in examination (class test, annual examination) with time management skill and stated that If you do work on time no one will fail you” If you will save your time it is good for you for your life. Further he added that managing time efficiently determines the success of students. Kriti a classmate of Kshitij shared same points with a little changed expression. She said that students’ successes in study depend much on managing time efficiently. Most of students agreed on rational use of available time in day to day life. Ansh stated that God gave us a beautiful life to see the world and to know about the world. He insisted that time is the biggest gift from God for us. So we should save time. Mohit insisted on self-discipline on managing time efficiently. He said, “Self-discipline is the key to manage time rationally”.
Most of the students were in favour of making a time table for efficient use of available time. They shared common points i.e. (a) Make a time table (b) Follow that time table which you have made (c) Should study, play, entertain yourself but on given time which you have mentioned in your time table.
Children are intelligent; only we need to enrich them with wise tips and techniques for using time wisely and rationally for better outcomes.

I solve all the theorem at home but I always forget in the examination hall, said Rohit in a low tone during the “feedback session after solving –Sample Paper of Math. 7/20 students shared same problems during that interactive session with Math teacher and other expert members. How many times you have tried to solve theorem or solved seriously? There are hardly 15-10 theorems are mentioned in the different unit of math text book. Can we not learn these 15^{th }theorems? Confused and full of low confidence students commit several mistakes in the examination hall. They miscalculate the mathematical formulas, solution of a mathematical problem, write wrong signs and symbols i.e. (+) addition instead of (-) subtraction, (X) multiplication instead of division (÷) or (×,≤, ≥,÷). So many students wrote wrong equation and put wrong formula during solving mathematical problems. Most of students solve only 60-70% of a mathematical problem and become confused in between the steps during an exam. It happens due to lack of language comprehension. Many students could not comprehend the question’s language. This is a sign of lack of practice.

Peer Assessment- Importance and Benefits for Effective Learning and Scoring Good Marks/Grades in Examination
What a wonderful moment! Nothing can be more effective than “Peer Assessment” in the classroom. Students were evaluating solved sample paper answer sheet of their classmates. Each student evaluated other student’s answer sheet in true sprite. In fact, teacher hesitates to share different level of student’s mistakes directly with him. As teachers, we fear to share hard truth with student. We fear that our open, and direct feedback can have adverse effect on students. Peer feedback has not adverse effect on students; it has positive effect on students and they take as a challenge to correct themselves for getting better score in the examination.
Peer assessment is an effective tool to impart quality learning in the classroom. Students solved ‘Sample Paper of Social Science as practice in the classroom. Students solved their question paper in 3 hours. They exchanged their answer sheet and evaluated all the answer for 1 hour. It was wonderful experience. They evaluated their peers answer sheets. Student’s observation was minute and precise. Student gave feedback on widely covered mistakes i.e. from spelling mistakes to sentence formation, and from formatting problems to quality content (a) Richa has written 2 answer while question consists of 1 mark. (b) Shreya has not given proper space between two words. (3) Anjali has written two much answers for 3 marks question. (d) Anju has written repeatedly same points.
Students minutely assessed their peer answer sheets. Ripunjay has written wrong answer. Question no 23 was from economics (role of education and women empowerment in economic development of a country) but she has written answer from Political Science. We found out several points during “Peer Assessment” Session. An alert learner will convert these shortcomings into great outcome which will surely help board examinee to score good marks in Social Science and other subjects. Students pointed out several mistakes of their classmates during “Peer Assessment Session” which can be corrected and implemented in other subjects also, since so many students committed very common mistakes in their answer sheet.

Identifying Mistakes in Others Answer sheet and sharing with same age group of learners, motivates all students to set a benchmark for themselves and for improving their past mistakes in next attempt.
While listening to other mistakes from the same age group of learners help them to indentify one’s own mistake. Peer assessment alerts all learners towards all possible mistakes. Peer feedback awakes other learners that these types of mistakes may be or may not be occurred by them during examination.
Students learn a lot when s/he finds his classmates has written appropriate answer of a particular question. Peer gives feedback on all positive and negatives aspects. Peer assessment provides learner an opportunity to learn from mistakes as well as learn from quality content based answer. They can learn following points – (a) What is parameter of writing a good answer? (b) What are the common mistakes which happen during examination? (c) What are the basic mistakes which they can avoid during the examination? (d) How to write a good answer?
Peer teaching and peer assessment impart impactful learning experience in the classroom. Peer assessment makes himself alerts and aware while finding out the loopholes/mistakes in other’ answer sheet. Suppose, Mr. Sameer checked Ms. Garima answer sheet and pointed out that Ms. Garima has not written appropriate example in question number 7 and in question number 24, she wrote irrelevant points. Will this observation help Mr. Sameer/Garima and other classmates in writing correct answer? Of course, it does not only help Garima but also whenever Sameer will attempt to write answer of question type (24), she will try to write relevant points.
Peer assessment provides learning platform in a friendly environment. Students can laugh on other student’s silly mistake but at inner core student also understands that s/he may also commit same mistake. Generally it is observed that student learns his best when s/he feels something without any pressure.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today, interacted with students, teachers and parents, as part of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi discussed core issues related to life of students, teachers and parents during the examination and all stakeholders’ pre and post examination effect. Is a person’s life more than one examination? What are essential issues that should be taken utmost care by students, teachers and parents?
We organized an open discussion in the class with all students after Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0. Students came up with rational ideas and answers. Positive effect of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0 can be felt in the eyes of students. Everyone felt a positive spark in the eyes of students.
We asked them to summarize today’s interaction of honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi with students, teachers and parents community from all over the world. Today so many students brought it–
Each and every student tried to interpret his own way the Prime Minister’s interaction with students from different corner of the world. One thing was very clear that each student was mesmerized by the outcome of the discussion in “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0”. When I was going through students summary/keys points of their learning in “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0”, they might be written grammatically incorrect but they were fully satisfied with the discussion points of the Prime Minister. जीवन में अपेक्षा और आशा एक नयी उर्जा प्रदान करता है. अपेक्षाओ को पूरी करने के लिए खूब मेहनत करते रहना चाहिए. प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि अपेक्षाओं के बोझ में हमें दबना नहीं चाहिए। अपेक्षाओं को पूरा करने के लिए अपने आपको सजा करना चाहिए। अपेक्षा आवशयक होती है। अपेक्षा की वजह से ही हमे कुछ ज्यादा करने की इच्छा होती है। निराशा में डूबा हुआ समाज या व्यक्ति किसी का भला नहीं कर सकता इसीलिए आशा और अपेक्षा अनिवार्य होती है। आप अपनी तुलना अपने पुराने रिकॉर्ड से कीजिए, आप competition अपने रिकॉर्ड से कीजिए, आप अपने रिकॉर्ड ब्रेक कीजिए, आप अगर खुद के रिकॉर्ड ब्रेक करेंगे तो आपको कभी भी निराशा के गर्त में डूबने का मौका नहीं आयेगा
लक्ष्य का निर्धारण- लक्ष्य ऐसा होना चाहिए जो पहुंच में हो लेकिन पकड़ में न हो
लक्ष्य हमेशा बड़ा होना चाहिए. पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि लक्ष्य हमारे सामर्थ्य के साथ जुड़ा होना चाहिए और अपने सपनों की ओर ले जाने वाला होना चाहिए। उन्होंने एक कहावत के द्वारा समझाया कि निशान चूक जाएं तो माफ हो सकता हैं लेकिन निशान नीचा हो तो कोइ माफी नहीं, लक्ष्य एसा होना चाहिए जो पहुंच में हो लेकिन पकड़ में न हो। जब हमारा लक्ष्य पकड़ में आएगा तो उसी से हमें नए लक्ष्य की प्रेरणा मिलेगी।
टेक्नोलॉजी का सदुपयोग
Technology should lead to expansion of the mind and as a means to innovate.
हमें टेक्नोलॉजी का सदुपयोग करना चाहिए. टेक्नोलॉजी का उपयोग अपने सामर्थ्य बढ़ोतरी के लिए करनी चाहिए. खुले मेदान में खेलना ये जीवन का हिस्सा होना चाहिए और बच्चो को टेक्नोलोजी की सही दिशा में ले जाना चाहिए।

करियर चुनाब में सबसे बड़ी समस्या खुद का भ्रमित होना होता है. मुझमे खुद अपनी क्षमता , अपनी दक्षता व् अपनी काबिलियत पहचानने का गुण हो. मै क्या करना चाहता हूँ और मै क्या अच्छे से कर सकता हूँ वो मुझे पता हो. हमारे मन में स्पष्टता होनी चाहिए. आपके शिक्षक इसमें बड़ी मददं कर सकते है क्योंकि आपके शिक्षक आपको बहुत दिनों से जानते है. अपनी क्षमता के आधार पर ही कैरियर का चुनाव करना चाहिए. इस काम में दूसरों से मदद लेने में हमसब को हिचक नहीं होनी चाहिए.
समय का सदुपयोग
जो सफल लोग होते हैं, उन पर समय का दबाव नहीं होता है। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने समय की कीमत समझी होती है। हर इन्सान के पास २४ घंटे ही होते है. जरुरत है आत्मवलोकन की -सही दिशा में व् सही समय पर कार्य
सम्पादित करने की. जिस दिन आप यह सोच लेंगे कि हम अपने समय को बर्बाद न होने दूंगा उस दिन से आप नित नयी उंचाईयों को पाएंगे.
