Can I change my board from the state board to the CBSE board in 12th?

We can do this if we follow the strict guidelines of CBSE Bye laws and CBSE Examination Bye Laws http://www.cbse.nic.in. In fact CBSE strictly prohibited school to give direct admission in Class X and XII even in transfer of school -from CBSE school to CBSE —-however for students’ interest CBSE has made provision to take direct admission in class X and XII -( Transfer from CBSE to CBSE School) and on some special cases from other board to CBSE board on also condition basis – “In order to ensure better adaptability to the academic environment of new school, students desirous of changing school may be advised to change school while studying in class IX or in Class XI. All cases of admission shall be regulated by the relevant rules contained in the Examination Bye-Laws. (COORD/SO(Pgt)LOC/2019 dated 5th April 2019). CBSE Chairperson possess special power to consider student’s application to granting admission in class X and XII. Normally school will send student application to the CBSE Regional Office before 15th July ( In a New Academic Session)

Secondary School Education comprises (IX and X) – 2 years integrated course

Senior Secondary School Education comprises (X and XII ) – 2 years integrated course

Admission to Class XII in a school is open only to such a student who:

a) has completed a regular course of study for Class XI and has passed class XI examination from an institution affiliated to CBSE;

b) has completed a regular course of study for class XI and has passed class XI examination from an institution recognized by/affiliated to any recognized Board in India can be admitted to a school affiliated to this Board only on the transfer of the parent(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the marksheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.

c) Chairman, CBSE shall have the powers to allow change of school for better academic performance, medical reasons etc. to avoid undue hardship to the candidate(s). In case of all such admissions the schools would obtain post facto approval of the Board within one month of admission of the student.

Is it possible to change school in 10th (CBSE board)?

Yes — A student can change school in class 10th in CBSE Affiliated school —if s/he fulfils all the norms and guidelines of CBSE- CBSE has changed Direct Admission norms class in X and XII class from 2019— since class (IX and X) and (XI and XII) is 2 years complete course—CBSE does not promote direct admission in class X and XII however special cases especially transfer of parent —-consider—-

Admission to class X in a school is open only to such a student who:

a) has completed a regular course of study for Class IX from an institution affiliated to CBSE;

b) has completed a regular course of study for Class IX and has obtained minimum qualifying marks i.e. 33% from an Institution affiliated to any recognized Board recognized by the Education Department of the Government of the State/U. T. in which such an institution is located

c) CBSE shall have the powers to allow change of school for better academic performance, medical reasons etc. to avoid undue hardship to the candidate(s). In case of all such admissions the schools would obtain post facto approval of the Board within one month of admission of the student.
