Robot Teacher –Challenges or Opportunity for 21st Century Educator and Learner
Teaching is an art. Teaching is not mechanical task. We handle human beings. Human beings are full of emotion, passion and pure soul. Remember the universal statement -‘- I think therefore I am….thinking symbolizes existence of human beings. We are human…we think so we compose, create, frame and designs innovative concept, ideas and objects. Robot Teacher is one of the best examples of creating replica of human mind.
Technology is no doubt blessings for human civilization. Our life comfort level changes with latest development in technological world.
Integration of technology in educational institutions surely maximizes learning, learning experience, learning skills and learning outcomes in the classroom.
We are human. We learn uncountable things, skills, and experiences. We learn by committing uncountable mistakes unintentionally but we learn. Mistakes can be happen by us because we think and act. We think, therefore we are–
Technology brings accuracy in our life. What is use of idealistic accuracy in our life? Committing errors, learning with errors and growing with errors are spontaneous acts of learning.
We are listening so many facts and fictions from last 25 years in educational phenomena I.e. in 90s..Computer will replace teachers in the classroom. There will be unemployment. Nothing bad thing happened in the use of computers in the educational phenomena
Technology creates thousands of opportunities to explore and expand horizon of our knowledge. Using robot teacher in teaching learning process will certainly help students to feel technological experiences. I strongly believe in innovation. There is nothing bad in using robot teacher for teaching purposes. Robot teacher will create a new learning experience among learners. It will create challenges for 21st century educators. 21st century educators need to adopt and adjust with these challenges. We need to work on developing technological competence to fulfill the need of 21st century learners. We are handling with smart kids who are growing everyday and everywhere with smart and sophisticated technological gadgets. Educator needs to develop competence level otherwise will be lost somewhere.

New innovation and new practices should be accepted with open eyes and open heart. Robot as teacher is going to open a new horizon in the field of education. It is time for wise educators to enhance learning level. It is time for teachers to become technological expert to handle this opportunity and challenge. Robot teacher in the classroom is not going to replace the teacher but certainly it is going to create a new learning experiences and opportunities. We need to explore the process, and techniques which robot will use in teaching learning process. Everything has its own beauty and beast itself in its nature. Integration of Artificial intelligence is creating new phenomena and new experiences. Robot teacher may calculate all the emotion and feeling but certainly we need a skilled teacher in the classroom who can create more humane rather than creating robotic child in the classroom. Education with values will not lose its beauty. No matter if a teacher is handling in the classroom or a robot is teaching in the classroom but the nature of child should be nurtured in the classroom, and child’s uniqueness must be intact and groomed in a humanistic learning environment.
