Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2022)

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2022) is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for academic session 2022-23 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for UG programmes in Indian Universities

According to the Public Notice issued by the UGC on 21.03.2022regarding conduct of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission in Undergraduate programs from the academic session 2022-23 in all UGC funded Central Universities in l3 Indian languages by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The Public Notice is available on UGC website www.ugc.ac.in.

Eligibility Criteria and Participant Universities

Many state universities, deemed to be universities, private universities and other Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in the country also use either marks of l2th’Board or conduct entrance test for admission in UG programmes. To save students from appearing in multiple entrance examinations, conducted on different dates, sometimes coinciding with each other, and to also provide equal opportunity to all students from different Boards, UGC invites and encourages all state universities, deemed to be universities, private universities and other Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to adopt and use CUET score from 2022-23 onwards for admission of students in their UG programs. Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) – 2022 for admission to the undergraduate courses in Central Universities, for the academic year 2022-23.

CUET (UG) – 2022 will provide a single-window opportunity to students seeking admission to the Central Universities (CUs) across the country for various Undergraduate Programmes. 

 CUET (UG) – 2022 is a bouquet of tests in various Languages, Domain-specific Subjects, and General Test. Candidates can select any one or more of the tests offered under CUET (UG) – 2022, as per the requirements of the University/ies where admission is sought. 

The CUET (UG) – 2022 will be conducted in 13 languages, i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.   

The CUET (UG) – 2022 will be held in 547 cities within India and in 13 cities outside India.
